I (vvmattozzvv) have been having trouble with addding the 1.1 spawn into the new map, I have been trying hard but can't seem to get it 'right'...I understand all of your frustration so I have launched the new map! You spawn on the mountain range that will have spawn added to it. No one can build here or nearby and mobs can't spawn, just make your way out of spawn and there you can build. Hopefully it will be done in the next few days.

This morning I (vvmattozzvv) updated the majority of our plugins to 1.2.4 and now the server is running on that version, however a few more things are needed to be done.

Hi all, here are some quick notes on the 1.2 update progress.
1) There is a beta version for our server software, this is considered semi-stable, but its up to the plugin devs if they will update for this or not.
2) Almost no plugins have updated for 1.2 yet, though most of them have been keeping up with the last fixes, so there is a decent chance they still work (but that will require time-consuming testing, we'll get back at that)
3) the following plugins will most certainly NOT work, for various reasons
- no temp bans (only permanent... so you better behave!)
Mob-bounties (needs an urgent update) found an alternative! and this one is updated with the latest mobs
- no multiworld teleportation (though that can be circumvented, the actual plugins that provide the multiworld probably still work)
This was just a quick let-you-know we are on top of things, we'll run tests & monitor the situation closely.
(PS, the arena and spleef plugins HAVE been updated already
Wednesday 7th test results: Testing on local server with basic plugin setup, got some errors, too little time tonight, testing will resume tomorrow morning.
Thursday report: Yay, the test server now is plugin-capable, and I put a few basic ones in place. Be aware the server itself is running on beta software, and half of the plugins are early releases as well, bugs are bound to be present (lava-firespread protection doesn't work for example).
fridag/saturday notes: OrtwinS has a concert to give, plus all the mumbojumbo around it. little to no time to work on the server.
sat 17th: Basic security is in place, but having trouble finding a perfect spawn spot...
Old server has been shut down for deconstruction.

The obvious news is ofcourse that MC 1.2 (
1.2.2 actually 1.2.3, thanks sean) has been released!
Please do NOT update yet, since you will not be able to play on our server, we run modded server that allows for plugins for money and stuff, and those need to updated as well. (Any timetable we could give you would be a gamble and a guess, please be patient, and we will keep you posted.)
That brings us to the even bigger news:
The Bukkit team, (the guys who program our modded server, for FREE, so we can have plugins and improved server stability) are now OFFICIALLY joining with Mojang (Notch' company) to make Minecraft officially server-mod-capable!!!
This awesome news means that for future MC updates there will be a lot less wait time for the server to update! (please keep in mind its still possible for induvidual plugins to need a fix for a new version, BUT since mojang releases snapshots 'n stuff those developers should have plenty chances to fix their sh*t before the actual update). MC 1.3 is expected to become legendary...
And for the occasion, Mojang has stated they are going to help the Bukkit team with the 1.2 update, so this update is supposed to go smoother already!

It was worth the wait, we finally have been able to enable the creative world again.
It took so long because the required plugin had a few exploids and a nasty wipe-enchantments bug, those have been fixed!
You can visit the Creative world by hopping on the Sisyphus, the ship that is docked in the harbor. Stand on the Telepad and off you go!
Note, the weather systems have changed over the course of several MC updates, it might be that the biomes are slightly messed up in the Creative world, if you guys want we could copy our works to a new, clean creative world.

As you can see, we are working on it, but we will only update Eoncraft when we can without breaking our core systems.
Keeping EonCraft 1.0 online: server is now offline for updating

still getting errors on startup, no errors on startup! Still need to test all features We tested all we could
Updating EonCraft: update done!
Booting EonCraft 1.1: Done! and no errors

We almost finished the server update (boy was that a puzzle). We are preparing to remove the staff-only whitelist Thursday evening!
Important notice: because this is supposed to be the LAST map whipe for a very long time we didn't want any artifacts of pre-1.0 civilizations, therefor we decided to NOT transfer items from our 1.8 world.
We realize this will disappoint many who have haorded stuff in the last few weeks, but we feel this is for the best.

I'll edit this post to keep you all up to date on the server update progress.
We are running offline test servers as of now, you will be notified when the Main server goes offline for the true update!
We COULD finally update the server, because there now is a Recommended Build of the server mod we use (to make plugins work).
Unfortunately, a lot of pluigns have NOT been updated yet, and therefore we can NOT update with our full funcitonality intact.
If we were to update now, we would LOSE:
- Secret anti-griefing measures
- Creative world
- All money related functions (money, shops, mob-bounties, can't buy protection-sponges)
- Chest protection (its updated but still in test phase)
- Factions (if we had this, we could update since it also provides basic chest protection)
- Telepads (only needed for creative<->survival transport)
- Movable bridges and gates
